Job Description

We are looking for a Fixture Design Engineer to help progress product development in our Manufacturing Team. Individual must be experienced enough with Weld Fixture and Tooling Design to help create complex mechanisms that could have 50+ parts. This person must also be a problem solver and able to take a project from concept to completion while working multiple projects at a time.

Responsibilities Include:

•\tDesign and/or modify weld fixtures and equipment used for production parts and assemblies.

•\tDesign tooling / fixtures capable of producing products that meet specification(s), is durable in the welding environment and cost effective.

•\tValidate fixtures for accuracy, repeatability and function.

•\tCreate and maintain detailed part, assembly and print models to communicate the manufacture, assembly and use of tooling / fixtures.

•\tManage multiple projects through all phases from design to validation.

•\tCollaborate with product engineers and operations to optimize designs for manufacturing quality and cost.

•\tCollaborate with machinists, fixture builders, and vendor machine shops.

•\tApply appropriate engineering analysis to ensure that designs possess sufficient strength, stiffness, etc. for the intended function.

•\tDevelop standards of work for engineering to improve design efficiency and reduce validation time.

•\tHands on interaction with production parts, tooling and hand tools.

Must Have

•\t5+ years of applicable experience required.

•\tBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering technology or equivalent.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $48.07/hr.
