The Fixed Income Regulatory/Compliance Advisor is responsible for completing daily supervisory activities; responding to internal audits, risk related inquiries, and regulatory inquiries; and reviewing policies, procedures, and disclosures.
What will you do?
Complete daily supervision as it relates to reviewing executed trades, daily risk reports, TMS flagged trades, and Municipal fails as well as approving trader responses to internally flagged trades.Interface with various regulatory, risk, and compliance teams within RBC Wealth Management and RBC Capital Markets.Review TRACE and RTRS results.Assist with regulatory inquiries and audits, supporting fixed income management in research.Oversee implementation of regulatory rule changes.Respond to internal audit requests and oversee the development and implementation of all findings.Maintain fixed income policy and procedure library. Periodically review and update policies, procedures, and disclosures.Identify structural and technological changes in the fixed income market that could affect best execution.Communicate and educate traders on policies, procedures, regulations, regulatory changes, risk, and potential problems.What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
3+ years of fixed income and/or compliance experience.Series 7, 63/66 or ability to obtain within 6 months. Candidate is expected to acquire additional supervisory licenses (24, 52, 53).Nice-to-have
Bachelor's Degree, or the ability to demonstrate experience or academic achievement in related fields such as Economics, Finance, or Mathematics, or equivalent work experience.Demonstrated knowledge of fixed income markets, economics, municipal sector, and other fixed income instruments as well as regulations governing these products.Proficient with Bloomberg and other investment software packages.10+ years of financial services, securities, fixed income, trading, risk, regulatory, and/or compliance experience Prior experience in various fixed income markets.What’s in it for you?

This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
