Purpose of Job Evaluate, communicates, and leads improvements on fixed equipment. Works closely with the facility personnel to troubleshoot fixed equipment failures and identity improvement opportunities. In addition, works with other discipline peers inside and outside of the group to drive regulatory compliance across the site. Key Accountabilities
Drive the efficient and effective results of fixed equipment asset integrity by:
· Developing subject matter expertise to provide direct support to the facility in driving unit reliability and operational availability of fixed equipment · Providing and facilitating timely and thorough recommendations on short term issues · Driving long term reliability improvements · Support developing fixed equipment scope of work · Maximizing reliability while minimizing maintenance costs for very high and high criticality equipment, bad actors, and repeat failure equipment · Conducting or support through RCFA’s on very high and high criticality equipment failures, bad actor failures, and unique repeat failures · Maintains knowledge for current industry ASME and API standards · Support the facility with Fixed Equipment Engineering: o Providing technical support to unit inspectors and engineers o Performs Engineering Evaluations and Fitness for Service evaluations o Support developing and maintaining Fixed Equipment procedures
Formal EducationUniversity Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Working Experience 5+ years of practical engineering experience 3+ years of fixed equipment experience Some knowledge of US ASME and API standards Required Personal/Professional Skills Sound knowledge of applicable codes and standards. Effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Data driven decision making, cultural sensitivity, business acumen, professional demeanor, and unquestionable integrity. Demonstrated soft skill expertise as it relates to presentations, public speaking, interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, and relationship building.
