Job Description:

This position within the CFO’s Office serves as the primary fiscal processor for the CFO Shared Services team and provides ongoing fiscal support for multiple departments across the University of Florida.  The ideal candidate will serve as the fiscal subject matter expert and serve as the team's primary fiscal point of contact. The incumbent will process all aspects of fiscal transactions including, but not limited to, travel, procurement, invoice payment, expense reimbursements, journal entries, and PCard transactions. Additionally, they will research, analyze, and resolve complex transaction issues, including interpreting and explaining complex policies and procedures.

Specific duties include:

General Fiscal Operations: Ensures the effective and efficient fiscal operations of assigned units.  Ensures that all programs, activities, and transactions comply with university, state, and federal regulations. Processes all aspects of fiscal and payroll transactions including, but not limited to, travel, procurement, invoice payment, expense reimbursement, journal entries, and PCard transactions. Prepares journal entries such as expense corrections and transfer journals. Customer Service:  Provides ongoing fiscal support to assigned units, ensuring exceptional customer service.   Acts as the main point of contact for fiscal questions.  Researches, analyzes, and resolves complex transaction issues, including interpreting and explaining complex policies and procedures.  Reviews and researches transactions to provide information as requested. Financial Analysis & Report: Supports the preparation of reports which summarize and forecast business activity and financial performance. Prepares monthly reports of financial activity and supports the preparation and analysis of other ad hoc requests. Assists in the analysis of financial information for planning and control purposes. Expected Salary:

$45,000 - $55,000; commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent and five years of general accounts transaction experience. Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

This position must be proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with University of Florida operations is preferred. 

Ability to maintain effective working relationships with others; to understand, interpret, and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures; to effectively communicate orally and in writing; to complete work according to scheduled deadlines; to work with limited supervision; to utilize problem solving skills and exercise sound judgement; and to work independently is highly preferred.
