This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $27.31/hour based on experience plus $120/day per diem for travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:
Installation of foundations, ventilation, bulkheads and shipboard furnitureSheet metal fabrication shop work Comprehend complex ventilation, assembly drawings, blueprints & sketches to include weld symbols, material, types, datum and reference linesLayoff piece parts for fabrication and assemblyAssemble piece parts in accordance with specifications in a quality mannerUse small hand tools electric drills grinders rivet guns and shop equipment drill press press break Shears etc Requirements 3+ years of experience as a First Class Sheet Metal WorkerAbility to read complex ventilation drawings, blueprints, and sketches (including weld -symbols and material types)Proficient with fractional and decimal dimensionsSkilled in fabricating and assembling parts according to specificationsExperience in physically demanding environmentsKnowledge of OSHA regulations for shipbuildingExperience using hand tools, electric drills, grinders, rivet guns, and shop equipment (drill
