What you'll be doing as a Firewatcher: * Monitor for fire hazards while other employees are working * Follow the conditions and requirements stated by the Control Room * In the event of a fire, extinguish it immediately or activate the fire alarm and notify the plant control room * Ensure you and other employees know the location of fire-fighting equipment * Maintain constant communication and keep visual and voice contact with other employees * Inspect the work area before and during each shift for potential release of flammable vapors or liquids * Be ready to operate fire extinguishers, hydrants, fixed monitors, and hose carts at any time. * Do not leave the job site unattended while work is being done; if you must leave, ensure coverage is maintained * Perform general labor and janitorial duties, such as sweeping and wiping down railings and equipment, without interfering with Fire Watch/Hole Watch duties * Maintain a clean-shaven appearance * Follow directions from the Lead and adhere to task instructions and break schedules Available Shifts: Shift Timings: All Available Job Requirements: * Ability to work in a hot environment * Ability to work in foul-smelling conditions * Not afraid of heights * Background Check required Ready to take control of the way you work?
