\r\n\r\n\t\t\t

The Fire Sprinkler Designer will:

\r\n\r\n\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\tUse CAD equipment to prepare moderate/complex layouts of fire sprinkler, standpipe and fire pump systems.\r\n\t\t\t\tPrepare detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches, and diagrams.\r\n\t\t\t\tEnsure drawings include all views and dimensions necessary for efficient field installation.\r\n\t\t\t\tPrepare submittals and obtain permits.\r\n\t\t\t\tMake decisions of high complexity, review questions from entry/mid-level designers and refer questions/problems to lead designer(s) and management.\r\n\t\t\t\tDemonstrate an exceptional understanding of design/drafting techniques, experience with fire sprinkler terminology, strong mechanical aptitude, and ability to complete mathematical calculations. \r\n\t\t\t\r\n\r\n\t\t\t

This is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity.

\r\n\r\n\t\t\t

QUALIFICATIONS:

\r\n\r\n\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\tAbility to read and interpret construction documents (drawings, specifications, ASIs, etc.).\r\n\t\t\t\tStrong analytical and mathematical aptitude.\r\n\t\t\t\tProficient with Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel), AutoCAD, and Fire Sprinkler Design software (e.g. AutoSprings, HydraCAD etc.).\r\n\t\t\t\tWorking knowledge of hydraulic calculations, stocklisting, project design, and project management.\r\n\t\t\t\tPractical experience designing Wet, Dry, Deluge, and Pre Action Sprinkler Systems for installation. Design experience with fire pumps and standpipes is required.\r\n\t\t\t\tSpecial Hazards design experience (e.g. fixed water spray, clean agent, foam, etc.) a plus.\r\n\t\t\t\tStrong familiarity with general construction practices and terms.\r\n\t\t\t\tWorking knowledge of NFPA 13, 13D, 13R, 14, 20, 25 and associated Codes/Standards.\r\n\t\t\t\r\n\r\n\t\t\t

Project Management Responsibilities:

\r\n\r\n\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\tPurchase material, buy out subcontracts, generate RFIs, prepare and maintain project schedules. Assist with change order pricing, negotiation, and review.\r\n\t\t\t\tCommunicate with field personnel, AHJ’s, customers, sales reps, and field superintendents.\r\n\t\t\t\tRetain full project responsibility for approvals, material procurement, coordination, schedule, and design budgets.\r\n\t\t\t\tAttend all project related meetings.\r\n\t\t\t\tPerform other job duties as required\r\n\t\t\t\r\n\r\n\t\t\t

Education: Associate or Bachelor (preferred)

\r\n\r\n\t\t\t\r\n\t\t\t\tHigh school diploma or equivalent, postsecondary education preferred.\r\n\t\t\t\tExperience with Revit, NavisWorks, and AutoSprink a plus.\r\n\t\t\t\tNICET III (min), NICET IV or PE (preferred).\r\n\t\t\t\r\n\r\n\t\t\t

Salary: $83200.00-104000.00 a year

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
