Position Number: 010168 Department: Safety & Security (Adm) Employment Type: Permanent - Full-time Months Per Year: 12 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The position will administer and monitor the Emergency Preparedness/Building Evacuation Plans, Fire Prevention, Aerial Lifts, Forklift, Automated External Defibrillators ( AED ), Hot Work, and Event Safety programs. The position will conduct training sessions; inspect facilities; enforce safety regulations; emergency planning; conduct investigations; assessments; and work with faculty, staff, students and other stakeholders to ensure the safety of the campus community. Minimum Experience / Education: + Bachelor’s degree in a physical science, biological science, environmental science/engineering, occupational safety, industrial technology or related discipline; or equivalent combination of training and experience. + All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Preferred Education Skills and Experience: + Bachelor’s Degree in safety and health, engineering, risk management, other related technical field or business. + Possess or is actively working towards Professional Certification(s) ( GSP , ASP , OHST , CHST , CSP , ARM , CIH , CHMM , etc.) + 1-3 years of safety experience.
