As a Fire Protection Engineer at Arup, you will be given the opportunity to work on a number of exciting and challenging projects both locally and afar. Leveraging on your accumulated experience and you will be a part of delivering innovative solutions and designs on projects across a variety of sectors and technologies.

You, and the Fire Protection Engineering team you will be a key member of, will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, architects, project managers, and clients, to provide solutions to our clients and projects. From concept development and detailed design to construction oversight and commissioning, you will be a part of delivering projects of exceptional quality on time and within budget.  

The Opportunity 

Work on and contribute to exciting and varied projects across a diverse range of sectors. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery of fire protection services. Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide expert advice on fire protection solutions. Apply design solutions across a range of systems, facilitating coordination and integration for well-considered wholistic design outcomes communicated through high quality design documentation. Connect into a wider Fire Protection engineering team within the region; with significant work sharing and resource sharing opportunities as well as skill development.

Is this role right for you? 

Recognized relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering or similar area. Experience in Fire Protection Engineering design within a consulting business environment. (sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels, specialist suppression, fire alarm/detection, MASDS, EWIS). Proficiency in relevant software and design tools. Ideally REVIT competent, albeit model documentation will predominantly be produced by our BIM design technicians. Experience in detailed design work in relation to wet and dry fire (sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels, specialist suppression, fire alarm/detection, MASDS, EWIS). Experience in collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams of architects, engineers, and project managers to integrate fire protection systems seamlessly into building designs.
