What this job involves
You will be ensuring that specific roles and responsibilities when it comes to managing fire safety in commercial buildings. These duties involve ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations, preparing for potential emergencies, and responding effectively when incidents occur. Taking charge of entire fire system assets in building, managing engineering team and supporting the Property Manager / Assistant Property Manager your team leader for coordinating for Fire & Safety issues with client and occupants. Your key deliverables will be to:
Your duties involve ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations, preparing for potential emergencies, and responding effectively when incidents occur. Here’s an overview of the responsibilities.
Fire Safety Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of the building to ensure compliance with fire codes and regulations. Identify and mitigate potential fire hazards.Emergency Planning: Develop and implement fire safety plans, including evacuation procedures, for the building. Ensure that all occupants are familiar with these plans.Training and Drills: Organize and conduct fire drills and training sessions for building occupants. Educate staff on fire prevention, use of fire extinguishers, and emergency procedures.Maintenance of Fire Protection Systems: Ensure that fire protection systems (e.g., fire alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers) are properly maintained and functioning. Coordinate with maintenance personnel and external contractors for regular servicing.Fire Incident Investigation: Investigate any fire incidents to determine cause and origin. Implement corrective measures to prevent future occurrences.Risk Assessment: Conduct fire risk assessments in collaboration with fire officers to identify potential hazards and implement mitigation strategies.Compliance: Ensure that the building complies with local fire safety regulations and standards. Address any issues identified during inspections promptly.Coordination: Work with fire officers to coordinate fire safety activities and ensure that all building systems are integrated and functioning properly.Monitoring: Monitor fire alarm systems and other fire protection equipment. Ensure prompt response to any fire alarms or emergency signals.Assistance during Evacuation: Assist in evacuating occupants during fire drills or actual emergencies. Ensure that evacuation routes are clear and accessible.First Response: Act as the first line of response in the event of a fire. Use fire extinguishers or other firefighting equipment if safe to do so, and assist emergency responders upon their arrival.Compliance with Safety Procedures: Follow fire safety procedures and participate in fire drills. Ensure that their areas are free from fire hazards.Reporting Hazards: Report any fire safety issues or hazards to building management or fire officers promptly.Use of Fire Safety Equipment: Be familiar with the location and proper use of fire extinguishers, fire alarms, and emergency exits.Emergency Response: Respond to fire emergencies in the building. Perform firefighting, search and rescue, and medical assistance as needed.Pre-Incident Planning: Conduct pre-incident planning and familiarize themselves with the building layout, fire protection systems, and potential hazards.Coordination with Building Management: Work closely with building management and fire safety officers to ensure effective fire safety practices and emergency preparedness.Key Responsibilities

Your role will involve coordination with various teams. You will be paying attention to detail and have excellent problem-solving skills. You will be using logic to trouble shoot problems; and assign and monitor maintenance projects. You should have a good knowledge of the working procedures.
Qualifications
You will have a Degree / Diploma in relevant OR any equivalent, with min 3-5 years of work experience in Real Estate/ Hotel or Construction Industry. For residential sites candidates with residential experience will be preferred.
