Finisher

**SUMMARY:** The Finisher is responsible for preparing metal to achieve correct appearance per standard. The
Finisher will report to the department supervisor in a manufacturing setting and will be responsible for detailed and
accurate movement of goods through the finishing process.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
• Read and follow blueprints.
• Handles a variety of different metal products and is responsible for understanding metal treatments for
each product.
• Examines product as it moves through finishing process to be certain it meets specifications.
• Handles finishing substances and prepares these specific to each products’ requirements.
• Needs to be willing to use sanders, buffers, and any other equipment needed for the job.
• Participate in annual FIT testing and follow proper use of PPE while working within this
department.
• Regularly sustain physical capabilities throughout the day
o Stand on concrete for extended periods of time.
o Lift and move parts throughout the plant (up to 50 pounds).
• Responsible for keeping his or her area and tools clean.
• Responsible for keeping quality standards set by the company and supervisor.
• Responsible for following all safety rules and codes throughout the company.
• Communicate with co-workers, management and others in a courteous and professional
manner;

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY**
• Attention to detail (Quality) - Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the
department supervisors.
• Flexibility. Availability to work overtime and/or move between shifts for training and/or coverage
purposes to support production as needed.
• Relevant knowledge to look up blueprints, production orders, key parts into inventory, and use the
system as a tool to assist in production.
• Must perform operator preventative maintenance of equipment.
• Perform other assignments as directed by management.
**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully

• Regularly requires prolonged periods of working on feet and standing for extended periods of time.
• Regularly moving materials in area and throughout the plant
• Occasionally Communicating with plant supervisors
• Regularly performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
• Regularly lift & move materials up to 50 pounds.
• Follow regulations and wear PPE (N95 mask and participate annually in FIT testing)
Additionally, the facility and most of our departments are not climate controlled. Consistent daily attendance, ability
to move between departments to interact with others, call and electronically communicate with customers.
**Pay Details:** $18.00 per hour
