FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN
Summary You will serve as a Financial Technician responsible for assisting with the management control and execution of financial and resource related functions. You will assist in the administration of the Government Travel and Purchase Card programs as well as preparing financial reports and tracking statistical data and other records associated with these programs. This position is located within the Resource Management Office of NAVY INFO OPERATIONS CMD GEORGIA, Fort Eisenhower, Georgia. Responsibilities You will assist with account maintenance and accounting support work requiring a basic understanding of accounting systems, policies, and procedures to examine, verify, maintain, and reconcile accounts and accounting data. You will provide technical support for the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit and custody of cash items which includes handling cash items or use of cash accountability control methods. You will examine documents for accuracy, adequacy of documentation, and compliance with regulations for goods and services provided to or by the Government. You will determine pay, payroll records maintenance, and completion of reports pertaining to civilian employees of the Federal Government. You will perform technician work in support of budget analysis and administration such as maintain ledgers, budget formulation, compiling, consolidating, checking and arranging funding data. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyze non-standard financial resource related processes to provide briefings to key personnel, senior planners, and consultants; Examine financial documents to verify accuracy, adequacy of documentation, and compliance with regulations for goods and services provided and reconcile any discrepancies; Assist with providing routine direction to leadership and personnel regarding financial procedural and technical information.
