**DESCRIPTION**
The Financial Systems Manager role manages and supports the operation, maintenance, and processes of the organization's financial systems and reporting. The role is responsible for system and reporting updates during month-end close. The role will also manage process improvement, implementations, upgrades, design, testing, and configuration of supported systems and reporting tools. The role serves as a subject matter expert regarding system processes, data, dimensionality, and reporting.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Essential Functions:**
+ Manage, maintain, and support the Company’s Oracle EPM application & Oracle OIC SQL Database for actual reporting, budgeting, and forecasting (configuration, assumptions, business rules, data load rules, dimensions, security, translation, forms, reports, and data transfer and validation between cubes)
+ Manage, administer, and maintain processes that feed information into the Oracle SQL database and EPM – includes running and monitoring of OIC integrations, Fusion reporting, and manual data compilation
+ Responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial data maintained in the EPM and OIC SQL database
+ Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the system, data, reporting, or user issues.
+ Update, maintain, and create various financial reports/dashboards using tools such as EPM, Excel, Power BI, Access databases.
+ This role demands a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end processes including relationships, dependencies, touchpoints, etc.
+ Manage and maintain a SharePoint site (home page, security, links, etc.) that stores financial reporting, cross reference information, and training documentation.
+ Assist in identification, design, and implementation of Finance/Accounting process improvement
+ Provide expert-level support for our financial systems; includes assistance with report writing.
+ Provides guidance and training to Finance users on report writing using tools such as SmartView, EPM forms/reports, Power BI, and Excel (including VBA automation)
+ Develop advanced reports,
+ Ensure integration points and data flows between systems are efficient and optimal
+ Ensure standards for data quality and integrity between systems are developed in accordance with best practices
+ The manager will collaborate closely with IT staff and external consultants to maintain the system’s software, hardware, operating system, and communications. As a subject matter expert, the manager will provide expertise on system processes, data management, dimensionality, and reporting, while fostering strong work relationships and ensuring seamless IT process flow.
+ Diagnose and resolve problems with the applications, reports, and interfaces.
+ Manage, maintain, and create process & procedure documentation, functional requirements
+ Other duties as assigned
**QUALIFICATIONS**
**Education** :
Bachelor Degree
**Work Experience Required:**
+ 8+ years of experience managing, maintaining, supporting, and implementing business systems (with specific knowledge of finance/accounting preferred)
+ Experience working with and manipulating large volumes of data
+ Experience working in databases and writing queries
+ Experience with SQL and VBA coding languages
+ Experience with gathering, interpreting, and translating business requirements into a requirements document
+ Experience creating and maintaining process & procedure documentation
+ Experience analyzing business processes to identifying and implement process improvements
+ Experience with an EPM system preferred
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**
+ Advanced problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
+ Advanced data and analytical skills
+ Must have high sense of urgency with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities
+ Write simple SQL queries and at least understand more complex SQL
+ Work with and reconcile large amounts of data
+ Expert in Excel including experience with VBA
+ Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with team members, business leaders, developers, and vendors
+ Work independently and in a team environment
+ Collaborate and work well across functional areas, team player
+ A self-starter who can dig into data or processes to figure out and understand how something works
+ Problem-solving mindset with ability to handle projects, issues, responsibilities with minimal guidance.
+ Proactively seeks out opportunities and efficiencies
+ Ability to effectively document business processes, track, and troubleshoot application issues
+ Willingness to expand knowledge
+ Experience with an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system preferred
+ Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
+ Strong knowledge of Databases
+ Strong knowledge of Financial Concepts
+ Knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger Accounting practices
+ Organizational skills
+ Attention to detail to ensure issues are identified and resolved in a timely manner
