JOB SUMMARY
The Financial Specialist is accountable to perform and oversee the billing and collection process for Home Care, Hospice and Community Support Services, including compliance audits. This individual monitors aging and collection, initiates appropriate actions to address accounts greater than 90 days, oversees the accuracy of data as it relates to billing compliance and follows up with the appropriate staff to solve issues identified, informing Director as needed. The Financial Specialist interacts with clients and families when necessary as it relates to billing and collection concerns, and performs as a team member, providing support and secondary coverage for coworkers and participating in department and organization project work.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred/Optional: Health care billing experience.
