Prepares and distributes periodic financial statements for users other than those directly employed by the organization | Ensures all reports and disclosures comply with applicable government regulations, professional standards and organization policies | Prepares consolidation journal entries, eliminates intercompany transactions and consolidates divisional and subsidiary financial accounts in a timely and accurate basis for inclusion in internal and external financial statements

 

 

Major Position Responsibilities Prepares periodic financial statements required for external reporting.  Collects and analyzes financial data, ensuring that all reporting is in compliance with SEC and GAAP reporting guidelines.  Consolidates journal entries and financial accounts to be utilized in internal and external financial statements.  Prepares internal reports as required.  Researches accounting rules and regulations and makes recommendations regarding company policy.  May provide support and assistance to external auditors.

Basic Qualifications Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience or Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
Knowledge, skills & abilities: Capital Budgeting. Month-End Close. Quarter-End Close. Regulatory Reporting. Year-End Close. GAAP Standards. Accounting Software. Financial Analysis Software. Critical professional related technical skills: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

 

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's DegreeDiscipline/Major: Business, Finance or Accounting degree preferred.

 

Physical Demands:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

 

Travel:

Less than ​​25% likely.
