Job Title

Financial Reporting Manager

Manage and responsible for the activities of accounting personnel involved in the financial reporting and technical accounting functions. Position requires the use of advanced accounting knowledge and this employee is required to make decisions independently with supervision and guidance limited to large or complex projects and critical issues.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Provide accounting guidance and consistency for preparation of internal and externally presented financial information.Independently perform and/or review compilation, consolidation, and presentation of internal and external financial information in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.Perform US GAAP and IFRS technical accounting research on new transactions and guidance.Direct timely guidance to changes in either internal or external financial reporting requirements and assist in new guidance adoption, including ESG standards.Perform monthly consolidation of company financials including identifying and processing topside adjustments for eliminations, intercompany transactions and corporate policy.Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries for the general and subsidiary ledger accounts and in support of internal management and annual audited financial statements.Coordinate efficient and accurate uploading of information into the general ledger, and extraction of information out of the general ledger using tools such as Excel, QAD, SAP and OneStream programs.Prepare monthly fluctuation analyses of income statement and balance sheet variances.Review journal entries and account reconciliations prepared by accounting team.Coordinate and provide audit support to external auditors and in the preparation of audited financial statements.Direct scheduling and personnel to ensure timely filing of all internal and external reporting.Work on special projects focused on systems and productivity improvements as needed.Apply diversified knowledge of applicable accounting principles and practices to broad variety of assignments.Continuously assess current processes and policies for efficiency and accuracy improvements.Communicate effectively with all levels of management, other departments, and external auditors.Supervise functions preparing financial information, focused primarily on leases and intercompany transactions, by assigning duties and examining work for accuracy and conformance to company policies and internal and external reporting requirements.Manage performance and development for Staff Accountant, Accounting Associate, and Senior Accounting Associate team members.Ensure staff has correct tools and training to perform their day-to-day tasks in the most efficient and effective manner by leveraging best practices.Develop a highly skilled and well-trained staff through training and mentoring to ensure the efficient and effective management of all financial reporting and accounting functions, with the ability to support a rapid-growth company.Management responsibilities include participate in hiring process, career development of staff, prepare and administer on-time delivery of performance reviews, enforce attendance and work rules uniformly and recommend and participate when counseling or discipline is required in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Job Requirements:

Education / Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, master’s degree preferred.Active Certified Public Accountant.5+ years of related public accounting audit experience or 10+ years related experience in financial reporting, auditing, and/or general ledger, or some combination thereof.Experience with large multi-national companies strongly preferred.

 Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.Experience with OneStream, Visual Lease, QAD, and/or SAP is preferred.Must have advanced accounting skills in areas such as foreign exchange, consolidations, leases, and business combinations.Must be self-motivated and exhibit strong interpersonal and organizational skills, great attention to detail as well as excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.

Target Hiring Range

Annual Salary: USD 100,000.00 - USD 132,000.00
