Job Summary

What is the opportunity?
The Financial Reporting Analyst will ensure financial information for RBC Bank is complete and prepared timely and accurately for both internal and external stakeholders. They will prepare, examine, and analyze financial information, transactions, and records to assess accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting, regulatory, and enterprise standards. Additionally, the Financial Reporting Analyst will make sure that RBC Bank maintains a strong internal control environment over financial reporting.

What will you do?
•\tSupport the month-end financial close process by ensuring compliance with accounting procedures and policies, preparing account reconciliations and recommended attestation status, etc.
•\tAssist with the annual financial statement process by working directly with external auditors, coordinate stakeholder reviews, and support the preparation of financial statements and notes
•\tMaintain accountability for regulatory reporting by preparing regulatory reports, maintaining procedures, and ensuring execution of controls
•\tHelp with the preparation of various head office templates and reporting packages and ensure compliance with enterprise standards
•\tProvide assistance to Performance management on activities, planning and forecasting, 1st Line Data Governance, Accounts Payable, etc.

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
•\tBachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
•\tMinimum 3-5 years related work experience as a financial analyst, accountant, auditor, etc.
•\tIntermediate MS Excel and PowerPoint skills

Nice-to-have
•\tPrior experience working in banking or financial services industry, as well as an accounting firm
•\tExperience managing/coordinating/participating in an audit relationship
•\tKnowledge or history in documentation, reporting, and evaluating controls
