The Financial Reporting Analyst reports to the Financial Reporting Lead and assists in ensuring all internal and external reporting needs are fulfilled accurately and timely. Whether it is the delivery of contractually obligated, regularly recurring, financial information to investment partners and lenders, or ad-hoc needs from GDC senior management, the Financial Reporting Analyst takes direction from the Financial Reporting Lead to comply with all reporting requirements and support GDC’s operational analytics and business insights. The Financial Reporting Analyst also supports the needs of the broader Accounting Department in the preparation and review of accounting data.
Responsibilities Prepare professional financial statements for property-level reporting, among other deliverables, for external partiesEnsure compliance with all contractual reporting requirements, and pursue answers to follow-up queriesAssemble budget to actual reporting for internal management, and investigate variancesAssist the Financial Reporting Lead with ad-hoc, high-visibility requestsSupport the Accounting team in the monthly close and review processEstablish best practices, execute effective controls and processes to ensure GDC reporting is accurate and timely QualificationsEXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance1-3 years of experience in an accounting or financial analyst roleReal estate experience is preferred, but an interest in real estate is requiredExperience with Microsoft Office suite, with expertise in Microsoft ExcelKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Excellent written and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft ExcelAbility to interact with staff at all levels and personality types in a fast-paced environmentAbility to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while following through on issues in a timely mannerAttention to detail is a mustSalary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
For Providence, RI this ranges from $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
