In this role, you will:
Support budget and forecasting activities, including: Maintain and update the annual 5-year budget process Build and maintain the 12 month rolling forecast such that it rolls neatly into the 5-year budget Update and maintain weekly short term cash forecasts with changes from rolling forecast, including reasons for movement and risks and opportunities identified Working with Project Managers (PMs), Cost Control and Head of Departments (HODs) to identify budget needs Working with PMs, Cost Control and HODs to reflect changes to budget for rolling forecast Reflect Group requested changes to budgets as needed Maintain Financial Planning and Reporting (FP&A) system (Vena) for all business units and departments Includes maintaining overhead, labour, direct cost and related revenue, capital expenditure, overhead allocation and balance sheet for budgeting/forecasting Managing the budget/forecasting process through Vena (including managing to deadlines set by Group and built into Vena) Working with Vena consultants to expand Vena capabilities to accommodate business changes as needed Assist with reporting activities, including: Budget to rolling forecast movements / variance analysis Provide inputs into line of business reviews Working with IT to build up PowerBI for reporting Providing Senior Accountants with a summary of budget or rolling forecast for variance analysis Other tasks as needed
The ideal candidate brings:
You hold a post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance. CPA designation an asset. You have a minimum of 5 years experience in a financial role. You have intermediate to advanced Excel skills, good knowledge of MS Office, ERP systems (experience utilizing IFS is an asset) and business planning tools (experience with Vena is an asset). You are able to plan, prioritise and deliver to firm deadlines. You are able to create and maintain strong relationships with key internal customers and stakeholders. You are able to travel as/if needed You demonstrate excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and an ability to produce quality results in a timely manner. You are eligible for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
