​CGI has an immediate need for a Financial Modeler to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest customers. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies.

This position can be located at any CGI office in the U.S, preferred location is Reston, Va, Plano, TX or Columbia, SC.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

A subject matter expert in analytics and modeling, guiding the team in the application of advanced analytical techniques to solve complex business problems. Will ensure that business usages and modeling / analytical solutions are well articulated, documented, tested and appropriately governed.

Articulate and document business usages and their requirements for a model or analytical tool.
Assess, test, monitor and document model effectiveness and fit for use across multiple business usages, scenarios.
Working with cross-functional teams ensuring consistent documentation and alignment of model usages with model changes / adjustments. 

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

8+years of IT experience.
Minimum 2 to 3 years of modelling experience in financial services
Exceptional written communication skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Experience writing technical documents for technical audiences.
Familiarity with data science and statistical learning models and techniques (regression and classification).
Familiarity with statistical testing methodologies (hypothesis testing, variable significance testing, collinearity testing, etc.).
Ability to read and understand Python, R and/or SQL code.
​Knowledge of the mortgage industry and/or MBS markets is desirable but not required.

Education: ​Bachelor's degree or equivalent on Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance with related experiences.​​​​​​​

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $59,000.00 - $130,600.00.
