As a member of the Infrastructure Policy Advancement team, you will be responsible for advancing the understanding of digital strategies that drive sustainable, innovative, and resilient infrastructure development in the financial market. 

 

This role focusses on collaborating with infrastructure investors and insurance companies to develop an understanding that supports long-term investments and the use of digital solutions, thereby reducing risks in infrastructure projects.

 

The team will collaborate with the public, private, and financial sectors to advocate for leadership, conditions within contracts, and policies that promote strong digital leadership within investments, thereby reducing risks and improving long-term results. 

 

This team will play an important role in aligning investor and insurer objectives in order to develop contracts that promote digital infrastructure growth.

 

Your Day-to-Day:

 

Influence and Educate

Advocate for infrastructure investment terms that match the needs of institutional investors (e.g., pension funds, sovereign wealth funds) and insurers through digital solutions. Collaborate with regulatory bodies and trade associations to prioritize digital solutions in infrastructure investment legislation and guidelines. Analyze policies, regulations, and trends in infrastructure financing, risk management, and insurance. Create reports, white papers, and briefing materials to outline leadership positions and recommendations for investing in digital infrastructure.

 

Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management

Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as infrastructure investment firms, insurance companies, and regulatory bodies. Act as a liaison between investors and insurers to clarify digital solutions and align objectives. Organize roundtable discussions, workshops, and meetings to promote dialogue and collaboration among insurers, investors, bodies, and Bentley systems.

 

Risk Management and Insurance Strategies

Collaborate with insurance companies to educate on digital risk mitigation strategies for large infrastructure projects. Identify digital products to mitigate financial risks for infrastructure investors, including climate change, regulatory changes, and operational failures. Create frameworks for investors and insurers to share infrastructure best practices, ensuring long-term project viability.

 

Develop an Investment Strategy

Advise on innovative financing options for infrastructure projects, including green bonds, PPPs, and blended finance structures. Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for digital infrastructure investments that align with emerging policies (e.g., sustainability, digital infrastructure, climate resilience).

 

Focus on Sustainable Infrastructure

Collaborate with sustainability experts to ensure infrastructure investments meet ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) goals. Encourage the adoption of climate-resilient and green infrastructure solutions through policies and insurance tools. Promote the use of sustainability metrics in insurance underwriting and investment decisions.

 

Key Competencies:

 

Collaborate with stakeholders from various sectors (public, private, and financial) to promote productive dialogue. Demonstrated ability to advocate for policy changes and persuade diverse stakeholders to support infrastructure investment objectives. Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, particularly in infrastructure funding, risk management, and policy. Adaptability: Capable of navigating complex regulatory environments and adapting to emerging trends in infrastructure investment and insurance.

 

What You Bring to The Team:

 

A minimum of 5 years of high-level industry experience in the financial sector. A minimum of 5 years of experience working with or in the construction sector. A proven track record of successful collaboration within the infrastructure market sector especially working with parties outside the traditional perimeters of design and delivery. An industry-leading presence on social platforms, such as LinkedIn. A demonstrable extensive senior infrastructure leaders’ network and contact list. A strong, engaging, and positive can-do attitude, as well as an eye for detail and a resourceful, inquisitive, and entrepreneurial mindset. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to present information via phone, web, and face-to-face. A drive to be a leading member of sector organizations. This is a full-time role expected to work 40 hours per week, home-based in the US. Requires sitting or standing at will while performing work on a computer (or any other physical requirements). The role requires communication with managers, peers, and other colleagues of the company in person (on occasion), and by utilizing Microsoft Teams chat, calling, and meeting functions. Travel for this role is up to 40%.
