Financial Manager (PTA to relocate to Dubai)
ENVIRONMENT: Our client, a software developer specializing in government digitization in emerging markets, is seeking a Financial Manager to join their finance team.  This role focuses on optimizing financial operations, strategic planning, budgeting, financial reporting, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in financial management and business intelligence to drive financial efficiency and sustainable growth. A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance (Accounting) is essential, while professional certifications such as SAIPA, SAICA, or CIMA are advantageous. Newly qualified CA(SA) candidates or those who have completed SAICA articles are encouraged to apply. This role is to be based in Centurion and then will transfer to Dubai in 6 – 18 months.   DUTIES: Accurate and timely completion of allocated work Prepare monthly pack and all other reports required by management Maintain IFRS policies and procedures Taxation responsibilities in terms of income tax, PAYE, VAT, and any other related taxation issues Special projects and ad-hoc assignments Completion and review of key group finance schedules prior to submission Daily operational issues addressed and resolved in a timely manner with appropriate escalation Monitor finance compliance-related tasks Regular review and updates where necessary of finance policies as allocated Manage external audits ensuring no material issues are noted Drive system improvements where reporting is inaccurate or can be implemented to create efficiencies Management of finance team, where applicable, to ensure agreed deadlines are set and met Manage financial operations, including cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting Develop and implement financial strategies to support long-term growth Provide financial insights and recommendations to the Directors and Executives Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis to support decision-making Oversee financial performance analysis and drive cost management initiatives Identify financial risks and develop mitigating strategies Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence   REQUIREMENTS: A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance (Accounting) is essential. Professional certifications such as SAIPA, SAICA, or CIMA are advantageous. Newly qualified CA(SA). Completed SAICA articles. Advanced Microsoft Excel. Must have strong financial acumen and expertise in financial analysis, planning, and reporting. Must have experience and ability to utilise data through tools such as Power BI and Advanced Excel. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial markets, and regulatory requirements.
