Financial Manager (CIMA)

Key Responsibilities:
Lead cost accounting projects. Manage office operations. Ability to interact effectively with staff and clients, as well as negotiate with suppliers and banks. Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and policies that align with company goals and industry best practices. Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, forecasts, and cost analyses. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to optimize financial performance and resource allocation. Conduct financial analyses and risk assessments to identify cost reduction opportunities, revenue enhancement, and operational efficiencies. Monitor and evaluate financial performance metrics and KPIs to track progress towards goals. Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management, department heads, and stakeholders. Manage relationships with external parties, including financial institutions, auditors, regulatory bodies, and government agencies. Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls. Lead and develop a finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Manage and improve costing system for primary produce and finished goods, ensuring accurate cost allocation and pricing strategies for profitability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize costing practices and data collection procedures. Conduct regular audits of the costing system to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and industry standards. Train stakeholders on the effective use of the costing system, including data input and analysis. Continuously refine costing methodologies in response to changing business needs and regulatory requirements. Promote best practices in costing and cost management across the organisation to enhance efficiency and accountability. Work closely with senior management to leverage costing insights for strategic decisions, pricing optimization, and margin improvement. Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in costing and incorporate relevant innovations into company practices. Oversee all accounting functions up to the financial statement level in Xero, including payroll processing and compliance with regulatory submissions like VAT Returns. Qualifications and Experience:
CIMA qualified with 2- 6years of cost accounting experience in agriculture, manufacturing, wine production, food processing, or related fields. In-depth knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations relevant to agriculture and manufacturing/food processing sectors. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data for decision-making and strategic planning. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels and leading a team. Proficient in financial software, including ERP systems, Excel, and financial modelling techniques. Strategic thinker with proven problem-solving abilities and a track record of enhancing financial performance and business growth.
