Are you someone who can:

Prepare and report on the Insurance Pillar operations and financial conditions monthly – this includes preparing the flash and CEO reportsGain exposure to the budget process and prepare the Insurance Pillar budget PresentationYou will also gain investor reporting exposure through preparing the annual financial statement analysis booklet for the insurance entities within the Group.Prepare the financial statements for the insurance entities – this involves updating memorandums for audit, following up with different finance teams on the AFS workings, liaising with Internal and External auditors when required etc.Utilization of Essbase and HFM to source financial information for recording and analysisApprove invoicesPartner with stakeholders in the provision of financial insights and guidance into the operational and generalContinuously assess own performance, seek timely and clear feedback and request training where appropriateParticipate and contribute to a development culture where information regarding successes, issues, trends and ideas are actively sharedMonthly presentations to StakeholdersAdhoc finance requests.

You will be an ideal candidate if you have:

Technically strong, demonstrating attention to detail, especially when it comes to IFRSCA(SA) is non-negotiable1-2 or more experience in a similar environmentExposure to the Life insurance sector, advantageousIFRS17 understanding or exposure, highly advantageousEssbase working experience, advantageousHFM working experience, advantageousConfident and comfortable to give specialized advice on technical mattersArticulate in speech, and in written English, when expressing opinionsAn excellent and thorough researcher
