Job Description

Our client, a leading Maritime organisation, is looking for a Financial Manager to join their team. The client has been in operation for 30+ years and are dedicated to embracing the "Proudly South African" philosophy where all permanent employees enjoy a shareholding in the business. This role is best suited to a qualified CA(SA), who is eager to join a dynamic team, someone who has previous experience in a similar role and has experience managing a team.

Responsibilities:

Prepare accurate, comprehensive and timeous management accounts, budgets / forecasts, and annual financial statements Ensure compliance with internal processes and controls, as well as accounting standards, statutory audits and good codes of practice Ensure tax compliance and liaise with the tax authority Provide assistance and advice on administrative, accounting, tax, computer systems and procedures to management and staff Monitor cash, debtors and investment performance on an ongoing basis Manage the Finance Department, including performance management, training and development

Requirements:

CA(SA) Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role Previous involvement managing operations across various locations within South Africa, as well as familiarity with operating in diverse jurisdictions  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong negotiation, strategic thinking, and analytical skills
