The Financial Data Analyst will play a key role in analyzing financial data, identifying trends, and supporting business decisions through data-driven insights. This position will be responsible for maintaining and improving financial reporting processes, reconciling financial data, and assisting in the development of key performance metrics to drive operational efficiency and accuracy.
Essential Job Functions:Financial Data Analysis & ReportingCollect, consolidate, and analyze financial and operational data from multiple sources to support strategic planning and forecasting.Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and consistency across financial statements and reports.Identify trends, variances, and insights in financial performance, communicating findings to the Financial Reporting & Analytics Manager and senior leadership.Develop financial models and data visualizations to improve reporting efficiency and provide actionable insights. Monitor KPIs and leading indicators to improve forecasting accuracy and financial performance assessment.Develop and enhance automated reporting tools and dashboards using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools to streamline financial reporting.Improve data management processes, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and efficiency in financial reporting workflows.Bonus Plan Calculation & AnalysisCalculate monthly, quarterly, and annual bonus plans, ensuring accuracy in payouts and compliance with company policies.Maintain and update bonus plan models, incorporating performance metrics and key financial indicators.Conduct variance analysis on bonus payouts, identifying discrepancies and providing insights to management.Work closely with the Financial Reporting & Analytics Manager to refine bonus plan calculations and ensure alignment with business goals.Annual In-House Rate Increase ProcessAssist in analyzing and implementing the annual in-house rate increase process, working closely with the Financial Reporting & Analytics Manager and Accounting Manager.Gather and analyze market data, occupancy trends, and financial performance metrics to support rate increase recommendations.Ensure accurate calculation and application of rate adjustments across communities.Forecasting & Budgeting SupportSupport the annual budgeting process, gathering relevant financial and operational data to create detailed budget models.Assist in forecasting efforts, comparing actual results with projections and identifying key drivers of financial performance.Work closely with the Financial Reporting & Analytics Manager to refine financial models, ensuring alignment with business objectives.Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field strongly preferred5+ years of experience in financial reporting, analytics, budgeting, and forecasting.Strong proficiency in financial modeling, variance analysis, and strategic planning.Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and drive process improvements.Strong modeling skills using Microsoft Excel (knowledge of Power Query and Power Pivot a plus)Expertise in Excel, financial planning software, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
