Financial/Budget Manager
Position Overview International Motors is currently seeking an Financial/Budget Manager to join our Finance Team. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting specific to our Electric Vehicle (EV) initiatives. You will play a critical role in driving financial performance, ensuring cost efficiency, and supporting the long-term growth of International Motors’ EV truck business. The Financial/Budget Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product Development, and Commercial Operations, to align financial strategies with business goals. This position reports directly to the Financial Controller and is based at our Lisle headquarters in Illinois. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a finance professional with a passion for innovation, sustainability, and financial leadership within the growing EV market. Responsibilities Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth. Partner with operational and engineering teams to evaluate new product investments and business cases. Present financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership and the Executive Management Team. Supervise and mentor financial analysts, fostering professional development and ensuring high performance. Monitor and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive performance improvements. Lead financial modeling for pricing, cost structure, and profitability analysis of EV truck products. Manage special projects related to financial strategy, capital investment, and market expansion. Collaborate with the sales team to deepen product knowledge and present our approach to Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) directly to customers Minimum Requirements Master’s degree At least 4 years of finance and budgeting experience OR Bachelor’s degree At least 5 years of finance and budgeting experience OR At least 8 years of finance and budgeting experience Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status) Desired Skills Experience in financial management within the automotive, EV, or manufacturing industry. Strong analytical skills with expertise in Excel and Power BI. Proven ability to manage budgets, financial modeling, and forecasting in a dynamic business environment. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders. Experience working with cross-functional teams, particularly in Sales, and operations. Demonstrated people management and leadership capabilities. A proactive, results-driven mindset with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
