Financial Analyst - Journal Review (Audit experience) Job ID 200076 Posted 21-Jan-2025 Service line Corporate Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Accounting/Finance Location(s) Kuala Lumpur - Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia **About the Role:** A Journal Review Financial Analyst supports and is responsible for all financial aspects of the BSO function, driving continuous improvement objectives and ensures SLA & Business KPIs, SOX Compliance are met. **What You’ll Do:** + Performing GL journal entry review to ensure it is in line with SOX requirement in accordance to journal type / nature. + Verify and justify all numbers against the source documents. + Ensure journal entry is posted accurately to the correct GL account by its nature. + All journal to be reviewed within the agreed turnaround time. + Support monthly or yearly SOX testing by providing all relevant documentations. + Manage / monitor query resolution related to journal entry. + Assist in developing and implementing process improvements to meet business goals. + Perform any ad-hoc tasks and responsibilities which the superior may assign from time to time. **What You’ll Need:** + At least 2 years' experience in a Finance / SSC / Audit environment. + Able to work independently with minimal supervision. + High level of accuracy, numerical ability and attention to detail. + Ability to work under pressure to meet deadline and longer working hours during month-end close. + Ability to work under pressure to meet deadline and longer working hours during month-end close. + Proficiency in English. + A team player and able to promote teamwork among the team. + Flexibility, ability to deal with ambiguity and change. + Computer literate, preferably with Excel spreadsheet knowledge.
