What You’ll Do
As a Financial Analyst Intern, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting strategic initiatives and ensuring financial and accounting objectives are met. Your responsibilities will include:
Assist with the month-end close process, preparing journal entries and reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records in line with Chewy’s policies Collaborate cross-functionally with team members and leaders to track financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and provide actionable insights Build and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning Partner with teams to support Sarbanes-Oxley controls testing and contribute to operational audits Assist Controllership with advisory roles on critical initiatives Prepare ad-hoc analyses and reports for senior leadership to drive key decisions Participate in strategic and annual planning processes to align business goals with financial outcomes
What You’ll Need
To thrive in this cross-functional role, you’ll need:
Enrolled full-time in a Bachelor’s program in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, or an Master’s/MBA program, with an anticipated graduation date of Spring 2026 Foundational knowledge in financial analysis, modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis Strong quantitative and analytical skills with attention to detail and a natural curiosity for solving problems Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and senior leaders Advanced Excel skills
Bonus
Familiarity with tools like SQL, Hyperion SmartView, Tableau, or Oracle ERP Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam upon graduation
