Assists with the assigned department’s capital requests during the CIP Process and for Off-Cycle CIP Requests including, but not limited to, validating 5-yr operational and capital costs, estimating cost savings, and estimating cost avoidance. Assists assigned department's capital requests during the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). Process, along with CIP modification requests. Additionally, the analyst will work on special projects and oversee the assigned department's implementation of the current fiscal year's CIP. Other duties include: + Investigates and makes recommendations for addressing issues of low to medium complexity and/or sensitivity. + Compiles data, produces informational reports to management. + Develops reports, special documents or publications as assigned. + Responds to correspondence, requests for information, etc. as assigned by supervisor. + Negotiates solutions for problems of low to medium complexity as assigned by supervisor. + Participates in evaluation and design of workflow, processes, various operations systems, etc. + Develops technological solutions and systems for continuous improvement programs and other appropriate applications. WORKING CONDITIONS: This position is physically comfortable; the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc. There are no major sources of discomfort in a normal office environment. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a closely related field. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Four years of professional experience in finance, economics, budget analysis or a closely related area are required. Substitutions: Experience cannot be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree requirement. A Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a closely related field may be substituted for two years of the above experience requirement. LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: None PREFERENCES Preference will be given to candidates with capital management experience with the ability to multi-task in a high volume fast-paced environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to details and accuracy. Effective time management skills. Team oriented, effective written and oral communications skills.
