Financial Analyst - Commissions Job Description **Role Description** : At CoStar Group, our finance group centralizes transaction processes, providing accurate reporting, financial resolutions, and proper forecasting analysis. Joining the team offers access to financial specializations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash and asset management, client contracts and billing, sales commissions, and revenue recognition. We are searching for an exceptional Financial Analyst who will join our Sales Finance team in Richmond, Virginia. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for assisting the accurate and timely calculation and payment of sales commissions for CoStar’s over 1,300 salespeople as well as other Financial Planning and Analysis responsibilities.  In addition to the monthly calculation of the Commission payments, the Analyst will be responsible for increasing the communication, efficiency, and transparency of our commission plans to our sales force.  **RESPONSIBILITIES** Analysis of sales commission on month to month/year to year and other ad hoc reporting The Analyst will also be responsible for working with our Financial Planning and Analysis team and Sales Leadership on monthly reporting and forecasting of our company wide commission expense.  The Analyst will help in the design and creation of our yearly commission plans as well as any new commission plans that arise throughout the year. Partner with sales leadership and other internal groups (finance and HR) to assist in incentive plan and tracking analyses; perform quality control to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency. Maintain comprehensive commission plan documentation. Maintain sales force communications to foster a greater understanding of the Commission Plans. Create ad hoc reports/analysis for business unit heads and executive management. **BASIC QUALIFICATIONS** + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College. + A track record of commitment to prior employers. + 2+ years of related work experience in corporate finance, accounting, or sales finance/operations + Strong Excel Skills  + Ability to communicate effectively with executive level professionals within and outside of the Finance Department. + Ability to identify and help improve current processes to make workflow more efficient. + Strong attention to detail. **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** + Power query or PowerBI knowledge. + Experience in commissions, sales finance/operations, contracts, or revenue accounting. + Evidence of strong academic performance in college. **What’s in it for you?** When you join CoStar Group, you’ll experience a collaborative and innovative culture working alongside the best and brightest to empower our people and customers to succeed.
