Financial Analyst
Qualifications: - Accounting and controlling are separated, 20% accounting and 80% FP&A side - Looking for someone who has a strong accounting acumen, strong accounting fundamentals - Big 4 experience (Working towards CPA or want to in the future) - Supporting Trade Span , dealers, contracts and working in the system - Business Planning analysis assisting and leading - Strong Communication: Working with sales, marketing, negotiating skills - Working with many conflicting deadlines, candidate should be able to handle pressure and complete deadlines in a timely manner , maneuver quickly - Strong, tech savvy person they work with Power BI, SAP , currently implementing SAP S4/HANA - meeting with different teams implementing that software - Major focus as an organization is automation, they have more and more demands and less time , the mindset should be adaptable, accomplish tasks in 15 minute, works independently - Analytical mindset - Pricing implementation within the system - analyze the business case - IFRS experience Your responsibilities The Financial Analyst is primarily responsible for providing management with timely reports and business analytics of product divisions, brands and customers with data focusing on current and historical sales performance and trends, as well as insights into future performance and performance against budget. Job Functions •Assists with month-end, quarter- end, year- end close and publish local and corporate reporting by the given deadlines. •Maintain product pricing in the system and resolve pricing discrepancies with sales support and marketing. •Analyze sales promotion and new product pricing proposals for management decision making. •Responsible for maintaining dealer programs in the system for month end & year end accruals calculation •Prepare builder quotes and streamline builder-quoting process. •Verify and approve purchase orders to ensure accuracy of cost centers and GL’s. •Responsible for monthly cost center reporting and ensuring cost center responsible remains within budget. •Verify dealer credits for accuracy and adherence to policies and guidelines •Assists in the preparation of annual business planning and periodic forecasting. •Perform all other duties as assigned Day to Day: - Each day will involve standard tasks (repetitive) such as reporting, pricing, analysis etc. This will take up about half of their day. - The other half of the day is dependent on miscellaneous requests - Then there are certain days where they have forecasting, business planning or year end. Daily tasks get thrown on the back burner on days such as these. The adhoc tasks sometimes get prioritized. Ex: Germany is 6 hours ahead - they are supporting the corporate controlling and accounting team. They could have a colleague in Germany waiting online for an urgent task. This will be prioritized and determine the FA's day - The candidate will be interacting frequently with the sales teams. Negotiations are bound to happen for example, the sales team will want more margins for the customers. It is the FA's job to push back on the sales team to have them understand those margins aren't possible. Communication is a key piece in this position.
