Job Summary/Description
This position will provide financial forecasting support for the enterprise supply plan as well as manage both the monthly and annual Capital Prioritization process. The successful candidate will be “forward thinking” with both detail orientation and the ability to think strategically. The optimal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of capital project spend and closings as well as the associated outcomes.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Supply Plan Financial Forecasting:
Manage the capital forecast for the enterprise supply plan, including identifying and working through financial risks. Coordinate with System Planning, OpCo Resource Planning and Finance to determine the investment needs associated with the Supply Plan; includes understanding potential impacts to the financial plan as well as matching Supply Plan strategy with corporate strategic objectives.
Capital Prioritization:
Coordinate multi-functional inputs associated with the end-to-end capital prioritization process to optimize and align the 5-year capital plan with Operating Company goals and objectives. Collaborate with cross functional teams including Function FBP and OFDs to develop monthly decision presentation for OpCo presidents. Apply continuous improvement mindset to continue to mature the process as well as leading tactical teams to apply lessons learned from prior initiatives. Queries data, creates analyses, provides analytical support, and develops presentations.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum education and experience required of the position
Financial Analyst, Lead: 5 plus years of business experience in banking, finance, project development or related fields. Financial Analyst, Sr Lead: 6 plus years of business experience in banking, finance, project development or related fields. MBA is a plus.Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position
Strong understanding of capital budgeting process Proficient knowledge of Cognos, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel including pivot tables skills and advanced formula writing. Ability to work with minimal supervision or within a team environment. Ability to analyze problems and create solutions. Ability to understand and solve complex financial transactions. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple time sensitive projects effectively. Strong verbal and written communications skills.Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position
Desired: MBA, CPA, CFA, PE or similar certificates / licenses.
