The Electrification & Automation (E&A) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing into our Future Grids portfolio to create the power distribution grid of the future. 


The Role

We are looking for a Financial Analyst to support performance controlling functions within our Utility Business. You will partner with and not limited to finance, PLM, Sales, Business Development, Engineering and HQ to deliver trend analysis, monthly commentary, cost center reporting, backlog analysis, customer analysis, and more within the Utility Business Segment. This position is located in Wendell, NC but can be executed in a hybrid model working from home 2-3 days a week

You will make impact with the following responsibilities:

Serve as key contributor in the Business Performance management process by providing financial transparency on business activities, insightful analyses and targets, trend reporting / analysis, cost analysis across portfolio items, comparison of contracts, and models on future business development. Assist in forecast and budget responsibilities for Utility Business Drive continuous improvement in processes and high reliability in all delivery KPIs. Report financial performance and progress on key initiatives to global and local management on regular basis. Support all business functions with financial planning, reporting and analyses, as well as state-of-the-art IT infrastructure & tools to ensure business continuity and drive digitalization and automation of all internal processes. Build and maintain trustful relationships with key stakeholders within the Utility Business – locally and globally. Performance Controlling activities: Month End Commentary, executive slide creations and support for global / local business inquires   Ownership and Forecasting of OCOS and/or SGA Cost Centers

Required Skills, Knowledge and Education:

Bachelor’s degree or educational equivalent Willingness to learn and be open to new ideas ability to work successfully in a multi-national environment and a matrix organization ability to drive the organization to think and act in ways that enhance efficiency and effectiveness while encouraging new technologies and how work is done Effective communication and presentation skills  Excitement and drive for change while being empathetic to a successful organizations’ culture Proficiency in Excel, SAP, Salesforce a plus Forecasting & budgeting experience a plus
