Your Role

You will be a key member of our Corporate Finance team that will be involved in various aspects of the finance department function. The primary focus will be on: Corporate accounting close, preparation of monthly internal and quarterly external financial statements, assistance with management reporting and analysis, and support in the reporting and analysis of the Company's REIT financial statements. You will also be responsible for various tasks related to external and SEC reporting.

The ideal candidate will be highly proficient with Excel including the ability to apply complex functions as needed. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience with the use of financial systems, as well as report modeling and financial statement analysis.

Your Responsibilities

Understand Accounting and Corporate Finance concepts, including the components of a Profit and Loss Statement, a Balance Sheet, and a Cash Flow StatementFacilitate the corporate monthly close process through the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliationsPrepare consolidated financial results, including PL, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and other key reporting schedulesAssist with monthly, quarterly, and annual variance analyses for actual resultsPrepare legal entity financial statements for REIT reporting requirementsSupport in the preparation and review of the Company external SEC reporting filings, including Investor Relations materialsParticipate in systems developments, implementations, and enhancementsAbility to proactively identify areas for enhancements in reporting and analyzing financial information, and effectively implement such enhancementsAbility to learn different financial systems easily, including Oracle, TM1, GL Wand, Carta AP, and PBCSCoordinate with external and internal auditors and the performance of SOX testingCollaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. FP&A, Treasury, Tax)

Your Qualifications

2+ years of experience, mix of public and private accounting preferredBS in Accounting or FinanceSignificant experience working with all major financial statements, including profit and loss statement, balance sheet, and statements of cash flowProven experience working with large amounts of data required; previous experience with report modelingMust be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and various other complex formulas)Strong analytical skills and prior experience performing analysis of financial resultsPrevious experience with Oracle and TM1 preferredStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong team player who can work also work independentlyStrong organizational skills, ability to handle details, and the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

The salary range for this role is $75,000-$90,000 per year.  Compensation is determined during our interview process by assessing a candidate’s experience and skills relative to internal peers and market benchmarks evaluated for the scope and responsibilities of the position.  Please note that the foregoing compensation information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and is provided pursuant to the New York City Salary Transparency Law.
