Description We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our team in the Healthcare/NHS industry, located in VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia, United States. The role involves strategizing, monitoring and evaluating accounting financial controls and activities, coordinating the preparation of audit materials, and analyzing and interpreting financial information.
Responsibilities:
• Strategize, monitor and evaluate accounting financial controls and activities to ensure efficiency and compliance.
• Coordinate the preparation of audit materials, financial and statistical/Ad Hoc reporting, audit compilation and benchmarking.
• Analyze, interpret, project and communicate financial information to internal and external stakeholders.
• Support the design, testing, implementation, and evaluation of automated and manual accounting systems.
• Analyze results and variances, identify trends and provide information to support month-end close and Audit as needed.
• Understand standard financial statements to support the accurate building of reports.
• Evaluate manual and automated financial accounting work processes, systems, and procedures for efficiency of workflow and conformance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Coordinate activities related to the preparation and submission of audit materials.
• Act as a liaison between auditors and various departments to facilitate the audit process.
• Prepare and compile necessary financial statements, schedules, and reports for auditor.
• Maintain and update records in accordance with audit requirements.
• Assist in reviewing internal controls to ensure compliance with audit requirements and regulatory standards.
• Identify areas for improvement in financial processes to ensure audit readiness year-round.
• Respond to auditor inquiries, providing necessary explanations and clarifications.
• Assist auditors with accessing requested data and ensuring the audit process runs smoothly.
• Recommend improvements to the audit preparation process based on audit feedback and experiences. Requirements • Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Knowledge of Data Mining Techniques
• Familiarity with Accounting Functions
• Expertise in Accrual Accounting
• Skills in Auditing
• Understanding of Budget Processes
• Ability to perform Budgeting - Forecasting
• Capability to prepare Cash Flow Forecasts
• Experience in compiling Annual Forecasts
• Skills in Financial Forecast
• Ability to prepare Annual Budget
• Experience in managing Annual Operating Budget
• Proficiency in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A)
