Financial Analysis Manager
Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee day-to-day management of the Finance area of the Customer Service and Operations areas, including Month-End Closing, Financial Statement Review/Analysis, Budgeting/Forecasting/Financial/Operation Reporting, and new process and report development.Partner with key business stakeholders and business user teams.Compile and review financial information to prepare and execute entries to general ledger accounts.Act as the financial liaison between the NSO and NY Finance groups.Ensure compliance with the company’s accounting policies/procedures (including SOX).Monitor actual expenses and report material trends and variance. Assist in developing, recommending, and implementing corrective action when appropriate.Create ad hoc reports that provide cost information to management not supplied by the general accounting system as required. Assist in developing, recommending, and implementing corrective action when appropriate.Review business practices and processes, creating partnerships with both business client and program management peers to drive alignment of business strategy, business processes, and supporting solutions.Lead project improvement initiatives as required.Must be able to independently communicate with the user community, using advanced verbal and written communications skills including facilitation leadership and presentation development.Document system processes, reports, and system functionality.Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict confidentiality in matters that require discretion.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance/Accounting/Business required.Minimum 5 years’ experience in Finance or Accounting required.Previous knowledge/experience with general cost accounting and financial reporting required.Excellent analytical skills required.Experience in a manufacturing/distribution environment is a plus.Project Management experience preferred.Analytical/organizational skills with sound problem resolution, negotiation, judgment, and decision-making skills required.Experience with Oracle Fusion/SmartView preferred.Strong technical skills with experience using Microsoft Excel and database management software required.  Ability to excel in business situations by adapting plans and approaches as required.Excellent interpersonal skills to build positive working relationships across groups and all management levels required.
