Financial Analysis is responsible for partnering across the Consumer Bank to provide financial and strategic analysis, oversight, and coordination of budgeting and forecasting. Our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) teams are responsible for a wide range of activities including financial control, forecasting and budgeting, analysis of financial/business metrics, delivery of weekly/monthly/quarterly management reporting, development of new reporting capabilities (e.g. dashboards), and advising the line of business CFOs on how to increase profitability and efficiencies.

As a Financial Analysis Associate in Consumer Banking Field Finance, you will analyze, prepare, and reconcile financial and business results as well as prepare reports, while always thinking of and devising ways to streamline and minimize cycle times through automated applications and process improvement. In addition, you will assist Field Finance peers and colleagues across the broader Consumer Banking Finance organization with special projects or components of other projects, as needed.

Job Responsibilities: 

Provide timely and accurate financial reporting, explaining results and variances, tracking against targets and ensuring profitability goals are achieved, supporting broader Consumer Bank finance team and CFO Support Branch Banking executive leadership team with internal presentations and business reviews, executing quickly on ad-hoc projects / requests Drive critical financial analytics to provide insights for management decision making and business cases, partnering with other finance and functional teams to lead and / or support strategic business projects to help achieve business goals and drive market leadership End-to-end ownership of national reporting processes including executive management reports and leadership scorecards Lead team efforts on dashboard reporting design and delivery; helping support firmwide data / reporting automation efforts Analyze business results, providing variance analysis inclusive of underlying drivers, preparing / coordinating presentations for management meetings and LOB business reviews Deliver other statistical and field productivity data to support profitability decisions and strategic initiatives (e.g., NPVs, business cases) Interface with Divisional Finance Business Managers to share national insights and provide guidance on how to leverage supporting detail to drive productivity at the Division and Region levels

Required Qualifications, skills, and capabilities:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a subject of a technical nature 3+ years of work experience Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint   Proficiency with data mining/gathering and manipulation of data sets Inquisitive, enthusiastic and diligent, and capable of challenging peers Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to analyze large data sets and present conclusions concisely Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly Ability to create ad hoc reporting for senior management Proven track record for executing on special projects / assignments, often with little lead time or information Highly motivated and able to thrive and think clearly under pressure and tight deadlines Team player with the ability to be respected as a trusted partner for the Business, Finance, and FP&A Teams
