The Financial Aid & Scholarships Office(FASO) invites suitable qualified and experienced applicants for the position of Financial Aid Supervisor. The Financial Aid Supervisor will provide a professional service to students and the University community. He/she will be responsible and accountable for the overall administration of internal merit awards and scholarships and external bursaries.
Key Responsibilities:Ensure effective and efficient administrative processes are in place.Manage key stakeholder relationships.Identify and manage university risks in respect of the disbursement of funds to student fee accounts.Ensuring that the Financials Aid and Scholarships policies are adhered to and that business procedures are drafted, reviewed and updated regularly.Manage the budget on internal and external bursaries as prescribed.Ensure that there are relevant reports that meet the executive management s reporting requirements.
Brief DescriptionRequirements: Bcom(Accounting) or equivalent3-5 years experience and proven track record in financial environment and processes.Working knowledge and understanding of Student Information Management System (SIMS)Computer literacy (MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email and internet)Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skillsPeople Management skills/Supervisory skillsSound organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
Preferences:
Work experience in a Higher Education Environment and in the Financial Aid landscape.
