Financial Administrator
Overview  Hire Resolve is seeking a skilled Financial Administrator on behalf of their client, a reputable property management company. This role involves handling critical financial processes such as bookkeeping, compliance, and reporting within the property management sector. The ideal candidate will have a solid financial background, experience in property management operations, and familiarity with South African regulatory requirements. Responsibilities

Manage daily bookkeeping activities, including capturing transactions and reconciling accounts. Prepare and maintain financial statements, management reports, and audit documents. Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank statements and ledgers. Oversee rental and community scheme billing, ensuring accuracy in invoices and statements. Process accounts payable and receivable, including supplier invoices and client payments. Administer automated debit orders and ensure timely allocation of funds. Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor expenditure against budgets, highlighting variances for management review. Ensure all financial practices comply with South African laws, including the Companies Act and tax regulations (e.g., VAT submissions). Prepare and submit required statutory returns, including SARS submissions and financial audits. Utilize financial management software to streamline financial operations. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within financial workflows. Act as the financial liaison between trustees, property owners, and management teams. Provide trustees and stakeholders with detailed financial reports and updates as required.


Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., SAIPA, CIMA, or bookkeeping certifications) are advantageous. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in financial administration, preferably within the property management or real estate sector. Familiarity with managing trust accounts and understanding community scheme financial structures. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills. Experience using property management systems is preferred. Knowledge of South African tax laws and financial regulations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. High level of integrity and attention to detail. Fluency in English; additional South African languages are a plus. Availability to attend occasional trustee or community meetings outside regular working hours.
