Promotes teamwork amongst peers and team membersManages and reports on cost usage that reflects delivery of planned work within agreed parameters Creates solutions to meet customer demandsEnsures continuous process improvement to enable effective operational processesExecutes monthly financial accounting function, gathering, analysing and interpreting informationManagement Accounting to provide line managers with information to improve decision-makingProcesses month-end management and cost centre allocationsIdentifies risks and proposes solutions to managementEnsures accurate and on time regulatory reports are submittedGenerates Board Compliance and Manpower Reports against rules in the systemParticipates in projects in the capacity requiredAnalyses opportunities for continuous improvement in operational processesConsults to business on variance report analysis and related informationParticipates in planned activities that are appropriate for own developmentManages people performance in the area of responsibilityYou will be an ideal candidate if you have:
Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar fieldExperience level: Minimum 1 year experience.Experience required:General ledger accounting: Experience with journal entries, accruals, and period end closing processes.Reconciliations: Strong understanding of bank, intercompany and control account reconciliations often requiring attention to detail and analytical review.Invoicing and Billing: Exposure to revenue processes. Sales orders and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.Income Statement and Balance Sheet Reviews: Ability to interpret financial information, identify unusual movements or errors and provide commentary with regards to the variances.Preparation of Committee reports: Skill in preparing internal management reports, suggesting experience in management accounting and using tools like excel, ERP systems (Oracle).Journal Entry Posting: Requires a working knowledge of double entry bookkeeping, accrual accounting, and often some understanding of IFRS.Mandates maintenance: Maintaining Bank mandates and authority matricesExperience with payment authorization processes.You will have access to:
