Manages delivery of internal and external financials for or on behalf of business units and works to ensure the integrity and completeness of all financial deliverables. Evaluates and manages tracking of financial and/or operational metrics and performances and summarizes findings. Collaborates cross-functionally to support, explain, and translate financial issues for the operational sides of the business. Manages the development and maintenance of planning and budgeting processes (forecast budget, 5 year plan), preparation of financial and management reports, procedures, and presentation of findings Reviews and analyzes financial and budgetary reports for accuracy; contributes to the identification of key insights. Ensure a strong internal control environment.  Comply with GAAP and Corning accounting policies.  Maintain documentation in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley. Serves as a point of escalation for compliance and service-level issues. Supervise the department to ensure timely and accurate completion of the plant accounting activities, including fixed asset management, inventory valuation, product costing, period reporting, budgeting, and overall asset and liability control. Implements and suggests initiatives to improve day-to-day operations (e.g., ORM, IT, business processes) to ensure financial accounting systems are maintained according to reporting requirements. Ensures that projects are completed in a timely manner and in accordance with established practices and reporting requirements.

 

Required Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration Knowledge of financial and management accounting Strong computer skills, including SAP, LongView, People Soft Ability to be comfortable interacting and communicating with all aspects of the business, including plant staff and senior managers. Supervisory experience Ability to successfully manage multiple internal and external financial deliverables for one or more business units, in accordance with controls and accounting requirements. Experience resolving compliance and reporting issues, providing recommendations to improve processes and guidance to junior colleagues Demonstrated success facilitating cross-functional communications to ensure understanding of financial results and timely delivery of deliverables Experience leveraging and managing relationships with plant and non-Finance teams to strengthen knowledge of production process and to obtain data critical to executing business tasks

The range for this position is  $110,942.00   -  $152,546.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
