Site Name: Japan - Tokyo - Akasaka Posted Date: Jan 9 2025 Job Purpose: The Finance Partner aims to deliver financial leadership and expertise to business units, ensuring sound financial decision-making, effective resource allocation, and achievement of financial targets. This role acts as a trusted advisor, helping to shape strategy and drive business performance. Key Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Financial Support: Partner with business leaders to develop and execute strategic plans. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions and long-term planning. 2. Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for the assigned business unit. Analyze financial performance and variances, providing actionable insights to improve financial outcomes. 3. Resource Allocation: Ensure optimal allocation of financial resources to support strategic priorities. Evaluate investment opportunities and provide financial justification for capital expenditures. 4. Cost Management: Identify and drive cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements. Implement and monitor cost control measures to maintain financial discipline. 5. Risk Management: Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies. 6. Business Partnering: Build strong relationships with business leaders and other stakeholders. Provide financial expertise and guidance on key business decisions and initiatives. 7. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and tools. Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes. 8. Project Support: Provide financial support for key projects, including financial modeling, business case development, and post-implementation reviews. Ensure financial considerations are integrated into project planning and execution. ※職務内容および勤務地の変更範囲は会社の定めるところとする。 Basic Qualification Skill Professional finance qualification (e.g., CPA, CIMA) or equivalent experience. MBA or equivalent advanced degree. Strong financial analysis and modeling skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English. Ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in financial software and tools. Preferred Qualification Experience Experience in the consulting firm, pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is preferred. Why GSK?
