Finance Operations Expert - Controlling Process Team

What you'll do:

We are looking for an skilled professional to join our Controlling Process team to drive end-2-end operational excellence. With a strong focus on the continuously changing business requirements, we as a team jointly adopt and redesign the business processes and leverage our own SAP solutions. We work in close alignment with our Controlling business partners, the end users in the processes, other cross functional process teams and IT colleagues to support SAP’s transformation and growth strategy. As member of our Controlling Process team, you become responsible for the quality and compliance of the controlling processes throughout the entire process lifecycle. This includes process requirement analysis, process design definition, considering compliance and dependencies, including coordination of the technical solutions in our system landscape with the business and the different IT teams, even across applications. Also, the roll-out, documentation and hand over to execution is to be considered. Your ambition should be, to increase the level of standardization, simplification & automation across the controlling process map. You will constantly look out for potential system and tool enhancements and options for automation to improve the process efficiency and effectiveness to the best of our internal customer. You always consider related processes in the entire end-2-end value flow, beyond controlling and finance to the best even for the whole company. You know that effective process management can only be successful with up-to-date and easily consumable process documentation, regular training offerings and proactive information to our internal customers. Your first key focus area will be on updating and enhancing already modeled Controlling processes in SAP Signavio. Your primary responsibility will be to refine, optimize, and ensure the accuracy of existing process models to align with evolving business requirements. Building on this foundational expertise, you will have the opportunity to explore and develop additional areas of responsibilities, such as: Identifying and implementing process improvements Supporting end-2-end process harmonization initiatives Collaborating on process automation

 

What you bring:

Preferred field of study: Business Administration or Accounting 4+ years of experience in SAP Finance roles; the best with operational business knowledge in Controlling at SAP Good understanding of SAP internally used finance applications and reporting platforms Base understanding of SAPs internal system architecture Knowledge in SAP Signavio modelling and Jira is an advantage Good network within SAP across finance functions Excellent collaboration skills

This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels, and the ability to manage smaller project-teams without authority.

With a high level of integrity and professionalism, process orientated thinking and strong analytical skills you should be passionate to drive change, challenges, ask questions and improve the way we work today.

The Controlling Process team is part of the Corporate Processes & Information Technology (CPIT) organization under Benjamin Blau, where we are an integrated part of Corporate Functions and Analytics (CFA) under Pinar Dölen, in the area Finance Spend, Compliance & Sustainability (FSCS) led by Holger Kupsch.
