Aus4Growth is Australia’s flagship partnership with Vietnam, driving economic growth, trade and investment, clean energy and transport, inclusion, and digital acceleration. Building on previous programs – Aus4Reform and Aus4Transport – Aus4Growth integrates emerging initiatives in energy, trade, inclusion, and digital.
With a vision to become Vietnam’s most impactful bilateral economic development program, Aus4Growth will strengthen Australia’s position as one of Vietnam’s most trusted partners in development, investment, and trade. It directly supports the ambitions of the Australia-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (March 2024).
To lead this initiative effectively, Aus4Growth seeks to recruit a Finance Officer to provide essential support in ensuring compliance, maintaining financial processes, and facilitating accurate reporting.
The Finance Officer will provide essential support in financial operations, including reviewing transactions, processing invoices, managing expenses and timesheets, and ensuring compliance with DFAT financial guidelines. The role also assists in budget management, financial record-keeping, and audit preparation. Working closely with the Deputy Team Leader (DTL) and Operations Manager, the Finance Officer will support financial analysis, invoicing, and day-to-day financial processes to ensure smooth and transparent financial operations.
This role is critical in managing financial workflows and maintaining compliance with financial policies and reporting standards to support program accountability.
Financial transaction review and compliance: Assist in reviewing and processing financial transactions, ensuring adherence to DFAT financial guidelines and program policies.Financial record management: Organise and maintain financial records, receipts, and documentation for audits and compliance reviews.Budgeting and financial reporting: Support the preparation of budgets and financial reports by compiling data, tracking expenditures, and comparing actuals against budget forecasts.Financial reconciliation and analysis: Extract and analyse financial data, including AMEX statements and other sources, to support reconciliation and reporting.Budget modelling and financial planning: Assist the Deputy Team Leader (DTL) and Operations Manager with budget modelling, financial planning, and expenditure tracking.Audit preparation and compliance support: Contribute to audit readiness by managing financial documentation and ensuring compliance with donor requirements.Financial administration and stakeholder liaison: Provide day-to-day financial support, liaising with internal teams to facilitate smooth financial operations.Process management and system maintenance: Support the implementation and upkeep of financial process management systems to improve operational efficiency.
What You'll Bring
Qualifications and experience
Degree or diploma in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.At least one year of experience in a financial, accounting, or administrative support role, preferably within an international development or donor-funded program.Basic understanding of financial management, budgeting, and compliance principles.Familiarity with DFAT financial guidelines or experience working within a donor-funded program is an advantage.Experience managing financial records, invoices, and documentation to support compliance and audit requirements.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools and systems.
