This role will suit a Finance Manager (or Senior Accountant ready to step up) with proficient German & English languages, who enjoys P&L/balance sheet responsibility for a manufacturing site, business partnering, autonomy and the ability to drive improvements in a fast-evolving environment.
The Opportunity
OTT HydroMet is an established provider of Solar, Hydrology & Meteorology technology solutions, and is part of Veralto (NYSE: VLTO), a highly respected global group of industry leading companies.
Reporting to the Global Controller, the Finance Manager delivers complete and accurate financial reporting for our manufacturing sites. You’ll line manage an accountant and work seamlessly with both the business and the global finance organization, providing in-depth analysis and insights to senior leadership, and working with peers at our other manufacturing sites to identify best practices and standardize processes.

This is a hybrid role, based at our Fellbach, Stuttgart office Tuesday through Thursday each week and working remotely from home each Monday and Friday.
Scope and Responsibilities
Full ownership of the site’s balance sheet and P&L
Lead team responsible for site accounting (both US GAAP and German statutory accounting), including the monthly close process, reconciliations, and stock counts, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and financial procedures
Work closely with the EU AP/AR service center, based in the Netherlands, to achieve accurate financial results
Develop and maintain strong control environment, ensuring compliance with SOX and company control requirements
Champion and lead initiatives related to process standardization, simplification, and automation
Integrate with global finance leadership team and peers at other manufacturing sites across the organization, working with a “one-team” mindset
Support new ERP implementation and local statutory and internal audits
The Ideal Candidate
Finance Manager (or Senior Accountant ready to step up), with a track record of consistently delivering monthly closing, controls, reporting, P&L, balance sheet, analysis and insights, ideally within a manufacturing organisation
Commercial mindset, with strong ability to partner with business and finance leadership and drive process improvements in a fast-evolving environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills (proficient English & German, at least B2 level and above to be able to engage effectively with German Tax Authorities etc)
Certified Public Accountant / Chartered Accountant, University degree in Accounting or Finance, or commercial education plus 8-10 years of relevant experience
