The Role at a glance:

We are looking for a skilled, Finance Manager to join Elior North America’s Dining & Events finance team. This position will be an integral part of the team and will act as a finance business partner to the support departments.  This position requires a motivated self-starter who is very organized, accurate, and able to communicate in a professional manner with Finance and Operational Leadership, as well as Front Line Operations.

What you'll be doing:

•    Partner with departments on budgeting and forecasting
•    Partner with departments on P&L management
•    Partner and support assigned work by the Director of Finance
•    Assist with expense tracking and account coding as well as timely collections on Accounts Receivable
•    Provide department leaders with analysis to support decisions
•    Analyze capital and operational spend by project and present results to executive management; provide guidance on capitalization policy
•    Create ad hoc financial reports and other analyses and participate in special projects as requested by management
•    Prepare and record routine journal entries for corporate close
•    Assist in reviewing and analyzing trial balances to ensure accuracy and consistency of account mapping and reporting 
•    Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of expenses and capital expenditures
•    Participate in special projects, including business development opportunities and cross-finance improvement initiatives
•    Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
•    Assist in the continued development of budgeting, financial forecasting, operating plans, and modeling tools
•    Work with other areas of the organization to implement improvements/change

What we're looking for:

Must-haves: 
•    BS or BA in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience
•    4-8 years progressive accounting and finance experience
•    Self-starter with the ability to problem solve and bring tasks to completion
•    Advanced PC skills particularly in the use of Excel is required
•    Must be able to communicate ideas effectively and concisely to all levels, including internal management and segment finance peers
•    Background in collaborating with a team and establishing good working relationships
•    Ability to coordinate the completion of multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize competing requirements
•    Experience with and understanding of accounting ERP systems, processes and charts of accounts
•    Travel to business units as needed, normally less than 10%
Nice-to-haves: 
•    Experience with Great Plains
•    Experience with BI360
•    Experience with Pro forma analysis and Return on Investment / IRR for new and existing business opportunities.
•    CPA Certification
 

Where you'll be working:

The ideal candidate is located in close proximity to our office locations in NYC, Jackson, MS, Charlotte, NC or Houston, TX. Remote candidates will also be considered.
