Oversees the daily accounting activities required to maintain the Company's general ledger. Supervises, directs, and reviews the work of the accounting staff (including cash reconciliations, Vendor/customer account statement reconciliations, check/transfer runs, accounts receivable transactions, accounts payable transactions, inventory, equity, fixed asset activity, payroll, debt activity, recording of revenue and expenses). Supervise EMIS reporting for all accounting related matters (Fixed Assets, Working Capital, Balance sheet items, Cash/debt, loans and banks) on monthly basis meeting deadlines with comments. Avoid legal challenges by understanding current and proposed legislation, enforce accounting Regulations, recommend new procedures. Maintain financial accounting reporting excellence by establishing internal controls for the following cycles: payable cycle from invoice receiving till check handing over to vendor; receivable cycle from invoice issuing till funds collection; and fix impacts on both realized and unrealized sides on a monthly and annual basis. Produces financial reports involving the shareholder accounts for monthly meetings. Produces monthly Profit/Loss statement and Balance sheet for local books and EMIS formats. Supervises monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities and produces and reviews quarterly, semi-annual and annual financial statements. Responsible for Budgeting process/realization and monthly variance analysis according to local regulations as well as the ALPLA requirements. Develop a controlling and reporting structure linked to internal reporting's, cost controlling and benchmarking. Guide other departments by researching and interpreting accounting & tax policy, apply observations and recommendations to operational issues.
