Your Role at Raising Cane’s:
The Finance Manager is responsible for supporting the Divisional Leader of Restaurants within their geographical division and providing actionable financial analysis using strong business acumen and communication skills. This position requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills, who will collaborate closely with operations leaders to drive performance improvements and ensure financial success.
They will lead their team to provide regular updates to senior leadership on key business opportunities within the division they support as well as to perform ad hoc analyses relevant to broader company operations.
Job DescriptionWorks closely with the Divisional Leader of Restaurants to identify financial opportunities and challenges, providing insights that drive operational excellenceProvides clear and actionable recommendations based on findingsMonitors cost patterns across restaurants, implementing strategies to improve margins which will not impact the high standards of operational excellence provided by the restaurantsProvides mentorship and guidance to the finance team, promoting a culture of continuous improvementDevelops financial and operational reporting and analysis packages to support restaurant operations to be distributed on a regular cadenceProvides the cross-functional business partners with actionable commentary on financial results, key trends in the business, and forecasts including:Marketing analysis to drive sales, profitability, and departmental improvementsMonthly and quarterly departmental business reportingRecruiting and training reporting to ensure we are staffing our restaurants properly and focusing recruiter resources where they would be highest value-addAnalysis on technology implementation initiatives to guide future tests and innovationAssists in implementing and supporting key technology enhancements that will allow the FP&A and business intelligence departments to meet the expectations of the growing organization, including data warehouse and reporting tool capabilities, as well as IT systems such as Hot Schedules, Great Plains, Aloha, and proprietary technologyAssists the FP&A team and company leaders to build and prepare financial performance presentationsSupports all other system-wide analysis needs that do not fall under the scope of the individual restaurant FP&A team(s) Qualifications5+ years of finance experience, preferably within the restaurant or retail industryProficient in various technology systems and able to adapt to new systems quickly, i.e., business intelligence and planning softwareDemonstrated competence in the use of software tools for data extraction, manipulation, analysis, and presentationAbility to go beyond basic presentation of analytical findings to craft salient narratives and specific recommendationsDetail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities that may be constantly changingSelf-driven, flexible, and highly energetic with strong analytical, written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively and efficiently both independently and collaborativelyMicrosoft Proficient: Excel, PowerPoint, and WordAble to work out of the Dallas Restaurant Support Office located in Plano, TXAble to travel as requiredBachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field / MBA or CPA preferredAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
