Finance Manager

Summary 

The Finance Manager will oversee the Financial Operations team and analyze and support Finance, Operations, and Sales at MarketSource. This position will be a combination of functional, management, and strategic work supporting MarketSource overall business and overall company strategy and goals. Essential Job Functions: 

 

Provides leadership, development and coaching to Financial Operations Group which includes supervising Lead Financial Analysts and Financial Analysts in the successful performance of monthly activities including assisting with month end close, reporting, P&L analysis and forecasting 

Coordinates the preparation of budgets, rolling forecasts, financial reports and variance explanations for respective programs.  

Identifies potential hires and determines staffing needs and capabilities through succession planning activities 

Provides business counsel to Program Managers, Client Services Directors, and Sales including discussion of P&L risks and opportunities 

Partners with Sales, Delivery and Practice Leads to review new business opportunities and create pricing proposals for prospects in Sales pipeline 

Reviews terms and conditions in contractual documents including, but not limited to, Services Agreements, Statements of Work, Letters of Intent, Nondisclosure Agreements and facilitate drafting and proposing language for these documents to eliminate and/or mitigate company risks (legal risks, financial risks, etc.). 

Partner with Legal and Sales in negotiating terms and conditions with clients 

Performs reviews of Financial Reporting Packages to ensure accuracy and relevance and works with Operational Leadership to improve/develop new reporting 

Monitors risk and internal controls for Finance Operations Department and Company 

Assist with escalated Accounts Receivable issues

Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel 

Ability to successfully organize and manage multiple projects 

Ability to effectively communicate with various audiences 

Ability to make decisions utilizing proper analytical tools

Demonstrated ability to create and maintain relationships 

Ability to expand business knowledge beyond core responsibilities 

Customer service attitude and consultative approach are critical for success in this role 

 
Job Requirements: 

Bachelor Degree in Business or relevant work experience 

5-7 years’ of relevant experience with 3-4 years of management experience  

Previous supervisory experience, preferably advising and directing the work of Financial Ops Team 

Experience and proficiency operating as a financial and collaborative partner with executive level, field staff and external clients
